Anita's cottage was a perfect place to escape from the busy world. The cottage is on a farm, so I enjoyed the sights and sounds of a variety of animals--including her friendly cat and some deer that regularly visit the property. When I arrived, I was welcomed with a warm fire and lavender touches throughout the cottage. Anita gave me a tour of the place, which included some brochures she collected about the area. She made sure that I had everything I needed, including her cell phone number. I have food allergies which always make traveling more difficult. Anita made sure that I could eat the breakfast she planned to prepare (an excellent veggie and bacon frittata with fruit) and gave me suggestions of places to eat in the towns nearby. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I accidentally left a notebook in the cottage. Before I got back from my trip, she had already texted to confirm my address for where she could mail it. I highly recommend a visit!
You will wake up in the morning to a delicious (and nutritious!) organic breakfast, along with fresh coffee and tea in the cottage.
Take time to speak with the owners Anita and Bob! They are both so hospitable and make you feel very welcome. They will show you around the farm and have so many interesting stories to tell! We would absolutely recommend this as a getaway, especially if you want to do the Jack Daniels nearby in Lynchburg, this place is a great base for a weekend vacation. We can't wait to get back for our next get away or to help on the farm! Thanks again!
What a great place to come to relax and unwind. The owners Anita and Bob are putting in a lot of work to make the lavender farm grow and thrive. The cottage is quaint and comfortable and the sheets smell like lavender! (Thank you for the lavender soap and essential oil!) There is a nice big tub to relax in and the bed and pillows are comfortable (we slept like rocks!) There are sheep, a horse, a donkey, chickens, geese, and a cat name Boris on the farm and they are all so sweet!
